What it is

An important characteristic of Strategic Interventions’ mission statement is “the dissemination of knowledge, gained through both practical experience and academic research, to clients.” One media already used to assist with this, within this web site, is making available research findings and published articles to the general business community. This specific aspect of Strategic Interventions’ service offerings is aimed towards events that multiple people can attend, to pose in-depth questions, debate issues, undertake practical exercises and learn about the practical implementation of the chosen subject. Event formats here are workshops, seminars or conferences.

All three event formats may be marketed to the general business community and become public events. Workshops and seminars may be required as private events to be held for a particular client at their premises or at a neutral venue.

Workshops (facilitator led) cover the chosen subject in-depth and are highly interactive and participative, with small groups of attendees (max.15). Duration of event may be 3-5 days depending on the depth of understanding required. Private workshops cover focused subject areas tailored to a client’s individual needs.

Seminars (1-2 expert deliverers) do not cover the subject as in-depth as workshops. Seminars have slightly restricted interaction and participation (mainly through question and answer sessions) due to the increased size of the group that can be catered for (max. 30). Events are usually case-history driven and may be of 1-2 days duration, depending on client requirements. Private seminars cover focused subject areas that are tailored to a client’s individual needs.

Conferences (multiple expert speakers), organized by specialist conferencing companies, provide multiple perspectives within a very broad subject area, minimum interaction and participation occurs due to the number of attendees (up to 200). These are primarily limited knowledge transfer events where speakers are available for a few hours.
